The KY History Half isn’t just for adults – our Children’s Activities make it possible for kids to have a great time, too! We have two fun activities set up just for kids, both led by the Kentucky Historical Society Learning Team:
ACTIVITY 1: DROP-OFF
Need a safe and fun place to leave your children while you run the race? Sign them up for the Racing Through History camp. Children will design a race logo inspired by Kentucky’s history and our museum exhibits. They will create their own race medal with Kentucky symbols. With choreographed cheers and drawn posters, children will encourage the runners as they cross the finish line.
AGES: 5-12
LOCATION: Thomas D. Clark Center for KY History – Inside the museum
DROP-OFF: 7:45-8 AM – At the Front Desk
START TIME: 8 AM
END TIME: 11 AM – Pick up your child at the Front Desk
PRICE: $20 per child until July 31; after July 31, $30 per child. A snack will be provided.
